Verified Buyer Reviewed by JJO from Tampa, FL on Monday, February 18, 2013J&M is a great brand and I own several pairs of their men's dress shoes. The leather on this pair was advertised as being calfskin; however it has that stiff, semi-gloss appearance of being inexpensive material. I was very disapointed.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Going Broke Saving Money from Western MA on Monday, January 28, 2013Others have mentioned the narrow toe box. I didn't find it too narrow from the sides, but from the top. Perhaps a half size larger would relieve the pressure? I didn't love the style but had the fit been better I would have kept them.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by HarlanJ from St. James, NY on Sunday, December 23, 2012I really wanted these shoes to fit as well as all my other Johnston & Murphy shoes. However, the toe box was just a little to narrow and I knew it would bother me after an hour or so of wear.
The shoes did look great though.
I had to return them. They might be comfortable to someone whose feet are less sensitive.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by JoeBob from Greensboro, NC on Thursday, December 20, 2012Great work shoes for business. Good with a suit or just slacks. Haven't done jeans yet but probably will. :-)
Reviewed by The Business Man from Atlanta, GA on Wednesday, December 12, 2012Caution!!! If are comfortable in a medium width shoe, these may be too narrow. I own a pair of Johnston Murphy shoes and love them. These are of good quality and also look stylish, but they are too narrow. I compared them to my other shoes and there is a noticeable difference in the width of the shoe.
