Johnstons of Elgin Cashmere Sweater - Cable Knit, V-Neck (For Women)

Closeouts. Like homespun angel hair, this shivery soft cable-knit sweater from Johnstons of Elgin emits halos of softness from the medium cable-knit pattern. Ribbed trim is knit on specialized machines to create the tension needed to preserve the shape of the garment over time. Vertical mill assures all dyeing, spinning, weaving and finishing processes are carefully controlled on site.

I am a 36D (& wide shoulders), and a medium fit me beautifully -- great by itself or layered over a shirt. I can see how I will be splurging on this brand for a long time to come. The fabric is lightweight, but has a quality feel to it, hopefully the sweater will hold up well in the wash.

First-class cashmere but it's cut way too loose. I took a chance on an XL (the only size available) even though I'm a large (12-14). I thought the XL would work over a blouse. But even with that added layer, it was too baggy. I returned it, reluctantly. Ultra-light, heavenly soft cashmere and the red-orange was just gorgeous. If you can wear an XL, this is a great deal.

I love this sweater. I was hoping it would be appropriate for work in addition to kicking around the house, but its fit is definitely comfortably cut -- the shoulders are big, the body and sleeves generous. Nothing is wrong with this, it's just a little too casual for what I'd like for work. Awesome for kicking around the house and running errands though.

This is casual and classic! Paprika is a good name for the color I got, but definitey not in your face. It's the kind of sweater that will be right for years, with a fairly long body, but not extreme in any way.
