Johnstons of Elgin Cashmere Sweater (For Women)

This is a beautiful sweater that is extremely well made, not thin as some cashmeres are, but lightweight. It can be dressed up, using it over a nice collared blouse for work, or with a scarf at the neckline, or even under a leather bomber jacket for a nice sophisticated yet casual look. You get what you pay for, and this sweater, albeit a little pricey, will last a long time if properly cared for. Love it.

I was a bit disappointed by the extremely loose knit on this sweater since I'm accostomed to heavier cashmere. But the craftsmanship seems fine and the design is good. I gave this as a gift, and the recipient was more pleased than I would have been...

I own three of this style and always feel well dressed when wearing them. They add great value to my wardrobe.

This is a quality cashmere garment. Some folks have noted they think Johnstons of Elgin sweaters are not as substantial as years previous, too lightweight for the investment; but this is an overall trend and Johnstons are always superior to their competitors. "Substantial" cashmere sweaters these days might be available in a designer's boutique for many hundreds of dollars and they probably are from Johnstons of Elgin. This sweater is lovely with rich colors, excellent fit and craftsmanship - a rare find. Sierra Traders is offering an exceptional sweater for a bargain price.

Returning this. Not as good as the OTHER catalog cashmere

The cashmere sweater fit very well and was true to size. The cashmere seemed rough and coarse compared to other cashmeres I have purchased in the past. I do not know how well it will wash or behave over time since I just bought it, so it may improve.

This is my first experience wearing Johnstons Of Elgin Cashmere Sweaters. I absolutely love their scarves and finally decided to order this sweater. My skin is so sensative that any sweater the least bit itchy cannot be tolerated. This cashmere sweater is so soft and light; a little piece of Heaven to wear. I normally wear a size large in sweaters, but in Johnstons Of Elgin I am a size medium, so the sizing is on the larger side. However the sleeve length seems to be shorter than most other brands which is good for me as I am 5'3" with short arms and the sleeve length is absolutely perfect. If you are taller than 5'6" the sleeves might be too short for you. [...] By the way, I ordered this sweater in four gorgeous colors and I Love them all!

I purchased a number of these sweaters in various colors - this time in stone. What a perfect color for me! These sweaters are made with heavenly soft cashmere in classic styles that should last for years. Love it, and will continue to buy Johnstons of Elgin products.
