Johnstons of Elgin Cashmere Sweater - Ribknit (For Men)

I bought two of these. It's the ultimate sweater.

You can't go wrong with Johnstons of Elgin. Have purchased 6 of their cashmere sweaters on STP.

I own three of these sweaters,two of which I got last year. I have laundered them and they wash extremely well(on gentle cycle,cold water,then lay out to air dry).The workmanship on these Scottish sweaters is excellent(nearly as good as the expensive Italian goods).They seem to use high quality cashmere that so far,only pills slightly.My big caveat is the sizing.I am 6 ft. tall,195 lbs. and usually wear a 44 jacket and L or XL sweater.The 2XL size on these sweaters fits me well.So order one size up !

Quality product. Light, yet very warm. Classic style, very versatile. Lends itself to be worn over jeans, as well as over dressier pants, under a suit jacket. My only concer is the size. I bought one Large, and one X-Large: the latter, however, was not any larger than the Large.

Quality cashmere, light yet warm; classic style, lends itself to casual wear (e.g. over jeans), as well as for more sophisticated occasions (e.g., wear under an elegant jacket). I have not washed it yet, but I wash all our cashmere sweaters in the hand wash cycle of my front loading washing machine, using only cold water and a gentle detergent (Please note I do not use woolite, I find it damaging to wool). Air dry only. I bought two of these sweaters, one in size L, one in XL. However,the XL is not any larger than the L: thus, sizing would be my only concern.

It's the best warmth

It is very rich. I wear it with jeans and a tee ,or with a dress shirt and nice pants. It is just an incredible sweater!! It is definitely the bang for the buck. It is so soft you'll know right away what is is made from . It is sooo thick and rich that you wont believe what it's made from. Trust me ...you'll love it!!

extremely well made, I bought two.

This was one of the most beautiful men's sweaters I had ever seen. Obviously, fabulous quality cashmere and I loved the ribbed look. It was sporty, but elegant, too. I bought it for my father, who normally wears a 2X. The sweater seemed to fit well everywhere except around the neck, where it was very tight and uncomfortable. (In shirts, he wears a 19" neck.) I returned the sweater, because I knew he wouldn't wear it if it choked him; but I was sorry about it.
