Johnstons of Elgin Cowl Neck Sweater - Cashmere (For Women)

Johnston's cashmere is the best I have found, and I have tried many. It is of unsurpassed softness, tightly woven yet light, very warm and well made. This sweater is flattering, the sleeves are a bit short but still nice. Would buy more if they were available.

This is a beautiful sweater. It is thicker than I though it would, but not too thick to wear it under a jacket or coat. I have many cashmere sweaters and Johnstons of Elgin is top quality. I am thinking about getting another one.

"Whisper" is the name of the color that I bought this sweater in. The color is beautiful, soft and delicate like the sweater itself. The cashmere is thick yet feels light when wearing it. It is definitely dressier than a crew neck sweater and I am looking forward to wearing it for Thanksgiving with a black silk skirt. There is no mistaking this for anything other than "Scottish Cashmere" the quality is so high. A wonderful purchase from STP. And the sleeve length is perfect!

I guess I should wait to receive this sweater before commenting, but my comments are not on the sweater so much as the extremely helpful quality of many of the reviews. I really had to think twice about spending so much money on a sweater, even though it is on clearance, is cashmere and purple and looks so pretty on the web site. What made the difference for me was the many comments about the sleeves being short for the average person -- this is music to my ears. My arms are short and I hate having to roll up sleeves or have sleeve arms shortened all the tme (adding to cost). Now I know that this lovely sweater will fit me perfectly. I can't wait for it to come in the mail! I will use it a lot during the next long, cold Maine winter. Most sweaters are too scratchy for me too wear. In the future I will remember to include this kind of useful information on my reviews. Thanks everyone for your help!

I really like this sweater. The styling is great, it's extremely comfortable and soft. The sleeves would be a little short for an average or tall person. I am 5'4" tall and they are even a mite short for me. My one reservation is that after about three wearings I am noticing it seems to pill a bit which should not happen with a sweater of this price.

Soft warm impressive looking. Definately not cheap. Excellent quality. I will definately buy more when they are available.

I am short and find that this sweater fits me quite well -- the arms may therefore be on the short side for the average height woman, but for me they are perfect. This is a beautifully made sweater.
