Closeouts. As thick and wooly as the lamb from which its fibers were sheared, this Johnstons of Elgin lambswool sweater has an agreeably ribbed texture that gives it character and a certain Highlands demeanor.

I had to order a 48 in this to get one that would fit me. I normally wear a 42 in jackets/[...] coats, so these are EXTREMELY small. Fortunately for me Sierra Trading Post had addtional ones in stock so I could return the first one and get another that would fit. Sierra Trading gets high marks for excellent customer service on this but the description in the online catalog needs to better reflect sizing (actual fit) versus advertised sizing. I have only tried the sweater on for fit but have not worn it so my rating of it is based solely on that very limited experience.

I have purchased a few cashmeres from Johnston's and they were great. Took a chance on lambswool and it is excellent. Only thing is bottom band of sweater is quite small so care is needed to make sure it is not stretched when putting on. Otherwise VERY happy with purchase

My husband wanted a solid color crew-neck sweater for Christmas. This sweater exceeded my expectations for looks. It's not too bulky and I think it will look great on him. I will ask him to add his comments after he tries it on.

well made and colors can't be beat. order one size up,especially since material tends to contract so it is tight fitting. I usually wear a large at 6 foot and 200 lbs but ordered a 44 which fit me well even with my 35 inch long sleeves
