Johnstons of Elgin

It's not my first sweater from JofE, and I suspect not the last one, yet the yarn used in this sweater surpasses all others I have. The yarn used here is VERY thick; I would not be surprised if it turned out to be an 8-ply yarn. Must I say it is heavenly soft? Why then only 4 stars? Because I have a short torso and this sweater just "swallows" it with only my neck and head, hands, and legs sticking out. This sweater style looks the best on me when paired with leggings, but leggings are not my style. So, in all fairness, it is I who should be rated at 4 stars (on a good day) and the sweater at 5. I am 34-25-37" in chest-waist-hips respectively and size S is what I got in this sweater; I personally think that my 37" in hips is at a borderline between size S and M for this particular sweater. As for the colour, I got it in "glacier" and I love it; it's kind of aquamarine blue and pairs very well with black and all sorts of gray, and will look superb come January and February. It is a casual-style sweater for very cold days.

I bought these gloves for my son's girlfriend to wear in Chicago. They seem very good for cold weather. My only disappointment is that I also bought the purple hat and scarf by Johnstons of Elgin and the color is not the same. It would have been nice if all three pieces matched. That being said, they are a lovely color and are very soft. The hat and scarf do match.

This will be useful for games and road trips - have used these before and they are made to take hard wear. A bit too sturdy and rough for comfy TV watching. Would buy this only if I loved it because it will last and last. Would recommend within these guidelines.

This is a wonderful blanket that has many uses both in the home and when outdoors. The quality is excellent!

These are great extra blankets for tossing over yourself while reading or watching tv. Great extra blankets for guests. The colors are very rich and the size is just right for casual grabbing. I live near Cape Cod and these are great for that New England chill.

I bought this blanket as a gift and it turns out the recipient's favorite sweaters are from the same company. She was absolutely thrilled. She loved the colors and the quality. It turned out to be a wonderful gift for her.

I have bought two of these and one other wool throw as gifts. These are not itchy, but surprisingly soft. I gave one to my best friend,one other to a couple, and am planning to keep this one. I really like it so well I'd want another in another color..pastel for Spring/Summer and maybe the darker one for Fall/Winter? But it really doesn't matter, I'm fond of so many of the colors it's hard to choose.
