Joia De Majorca Necklace and Earring Set - 12mm Grey Organic Pearls

This is my fourth set of Majorca pearls but first of poor quality. The pearls' drilling is terrible -- instead of being properly drilled from each side to the center, these were drilled through in one direction with much too large a bit, causing the nacre to protrude from one side and chip, leaving holes large enough to swallow the substantial knots. This can even be seen on the lower far left pearl in the enlarged image. The price, however, being a third retail, is worth the third quality. As long as these pearls are worn casually or in low light, they're gorgeous for the price.

Beautiful color, a luminescent light grey. Anyone with the "winter" skin tone will find these very flattering. These are not pearls for wimps. 12 mm is a good size and they do make a statement. The quality of the pearls seems very good, they look good, except for some extremely small irregularities where the holes are made and the string comes through, as if the surface layer was punctured incorrectly, but this is not noticeable on and only when scrutinized holding them up to light. They are very elegant and classy on, with or without the earrings. More than I usually spend for jewelry, I am wondering if I will wear them frequently enough to justify the cost. I guess I could, you know the old expression, "pearls are always right."

High quality lustrous man-made pearls. The colors are subtle and the necklace is very elegant. It will make any outfit special. Substantial clasp that is easy to work with.

I love these pearls! The color is wonderful. The size is unique, much bigger than a regular size pearl necklace. I will treasure these beauties forever!

I was really happy to see these pearls, [...] The pearls themselves are huge. They are beautiful. Am waiting for a chance to wear them. One thing that was alluded to in the item description: the clasp is huge. Not the customary small clasp. But it is also beautiful.
