Reviewed by lorry from boston, ma on Wednesday, November 28, 2012I bought the aubergine color and those are some large beautiful pearls. The color hue is more on the pink side. I personally find the 16-in length too short and uncomfortable and will return the necklace.

What I wrote about the 18" necklace last year, applies to the 16" one: if man-made pearls can get 5 stars, these pearls do get all 5. I got my Joya de Majorca black pearl necklace and I'm very pleased with it. The colour and shine of the pearls is great, and very realistic; they look very much like Tahitian pearls (no peacock undertones, etc.). They are appropriately heavy, and that feels very nice. The clasp, made or rhodium, is sturdy and is of good quality; it goes well with the design of this necklace. I compared this necklace to the one by Majorica and I'm happy to say that these black pearls by Joya de Majorca are no second to Majorica's (yet the price of these at Sierra is a super-bargain). If you are looking for nice quality Tahitian-like pearls you won't regret getting these. I highly recommend the black ones (I haven't bought, yet, other colours).

Reviewed by lorraine934 from Marion, MA on Monday, October 01, 2012This is a choker length which I really love. It sits very close to the neck. If you find that uncomfortable, get a longer one. I like the look of a tight choker and think that length suits people with smaller features.
