Jonathan Michael Coat - Merino Wool-Cashmere (For Women)

This coat is made with superlative fabric - a blend of cashmere and merino wool that is soft, smooth, relatively lightweight yet warm. It is beautifully tailored through the shoulders and neckline, but the bottom of the coat, which is a wrap style, is rather bulky. It is also quite long - I wear an 8P, and ordered that size. The shoulders fit very well, sleeves were the right length, but the hem was only an inch or two above my ankle. It felt a bit like a too-large bathrobe. I was disappointed it did not fit better - I sent it back.

I haven't bought a winter dress coat in years and wanted something classic. This coat was perfect. It fits well: I bought my usual size 6 and it fits over a sweater or fitted blazer. It's not too heavy, but I think it will be warm enough. I think it's a great coat for the price.

This coat is okay, not great. The wool/cashmere fabric is fine, but nothing special. It's very long, which I like, but was surprisingly big. It's a wrap coat, but it wrapped around me TOO much, thus removing the long slim look I expected. I returned it.

The coat is very thin,not for long walking.

I've been looking for a replacement for my long black coat for a long time. Not until this coat did I find the one I wanted: soft, drapes well, and accommodates a suit jacket underneath (I'm 5'4" and ordered a 10P in this coat--the coat falls mid-calf, just perfect). It's also difficult these days to find a long coat with a vent in the back, and this one has it--I find vents make walking easier, and the coat drapes better, too. You can pull the coat in tighter around you (if you like) with an inner sash that goes through a loophole on the edge of the left side of the coat (the right side goes over the left when you belt it). My husband likes it too! Great buy, beautiful coat, and very glad I found it!
