Jonathan Michael Gabardine Trench Coat (For Women)

Wonderful classic trench. I ordered the 12 in a petite and it fit beautifully! I know I will wear it for years to come! I actually don't mind the rain as much anymore now that I have this lovely coat! I was worried from another review that this trench would be too long, but the petite was great for me and I am only 5'2"!

Was exactly what I had been looking for, with the exception of no back kick pleat. Not a big deal, just nice when getting in and out of a SUV type automobile.

This coat fits just like the Johnathan Michael camel-hair coat (which I also purchased). The sleeves are just long enough for the taller girl (I'm 5'11'') and could even be lengthened a bit by a good tailor. The position of the belt also just squeaks by for the taller frame. The color is a true khaki, which makes it a great neutral that goes with everything. The overall length of the coat might be too much for the shorter girls. Fabric is weighty and durable. As for styling, it leaves a little to be desired. I was looking for a classic trench coat, with all the bells and whistles, but because I can never find one that fits, I tried this. I see it as more of an "overcoat with trench coat-like styling" rather than as a classic trench coat. It is a weightier fabric than a classic trench and is missing some of the classic features, like a kick-pleat, the flap of fabric across the back shoulders, metal grommets and buckles, etc. Also, the pockets are a little oddly placed (to far toward center). Even so, the coat really is of very good quality with a color and a fit that is long enough.

I'm not sure I'll keep it because the color is drab and it's not as warm as a wool long coat should be.

A classic trench coat goes with everything and this one is no exception. You will not be sorry you purchased this one. Good quality and very well made.

Lovely wool trench, but definitely N-O-T for petites! Way too long in lenght, and in the sleeves. The shoulders were a little bigger than they should have been. Tall folks this classic trench is for you!

Excellent product. Was looking for a wool gabardine to replace lost one & this tops it. Fit and detail are exceptional. Ordered both black & taupe coats. Can be worn Autumn, Winter & early Spring in this climate zone. And with the discount is a coat not to be passed up. This is a winner with an excellent price.
