Jonathan Michael Gabardine Trench Coat (For Women)

I bought this trench coast years ago through Sierra Trading Post and thought it was the same. Mine is a classic trench. The new one is cut too severe. Shoulders are cut like a blouse/jacket whereas mine has applets, but there is no "shoulder" per se. It is a great looking coat and I am disappointed that the "new" one has a completely different look. BTW, the woman who helped me purchase it was WONDERFUL! When I called back to inquire about possibly finding the original trench coat that I had purchased the woman I spoke with was useless. If you have the "classic" one, I still want it.

I like this coat and it looks nice on. However, it runs a bit small for a coat if you are going to wear a suit jacket under it as well. So recommend that if you will wear it with heavy sweaters or with suit jackets, to order a size larger than you would normally order.

I am 5'2" size 8 petite and have difficulty finding a coat that fits properly. This coat fits absolutely perfect. I wanted a full length coat The length is mid calf and the sleeve length is perfect. The shoulders fit properly. The waist is in the right place. The coat is generous enough to fit over a suit jacket but doesn't look overly large without a jacket. I had been looking for a wool garbardine trench coat for a long time and couldn't find one until I found this website. This is a coat that belongs in every wardrobe. It will always look good, and will never go out of style. I took off one star because of the absence of the kick pleat, but otherwise the quality and the look is very good. I normally wear a 14 in a coat, but took a chance on the 12, since it was the largest size available, and it fit just fine. I am very happy with this purchase.

I have a raincoat in the trenchcoat style that I love, so I thought I'd try this coat, and I'm happy with it. It is heavier than a raincoat but not really warm. It is perfect for spring and fall for cooler climates, (or going shopping when you don't want to be lugging a heavy coat in a shopping mall but need something to dash inside)and winter in So. Cal. Great for work or travel.

Winter style without the weight of a heavy wool winter coat...great for winter in the south.
