The coat was too long for her petite frame 5'4" even though we got a petite, and the sleeves were a bit short when arms raised. The reason we returned it was it just seemed like the wool quality was sub par, too light weight, too thin, to provide adequate warmth.

Question “I just received this coat and really love it. I bought a size 4 which fits perfectly except it seems too long, I'm 5'4". I know it is probably a personal preference, but where should this coat be falling? The picture shows it at about knee length, mine falls almost to my ankles. What is the classic length for this kind of coat? Thanks.”

Answer It is personal preference indeed, but generally they fall right below the knee at the shin or so, but either length looks nice to dress an outfit up.
