Jonathan Michael Wool Alpaca Coat (For Women)

The coat is a perfect fit over my business suits. I purchased the black coat, and it is very professional and stylish. Love it!

I wear this coat every day. It will not become 'dated', and can be dressed up or down. The color is an excellent basic, and the length is just right for someone who is tall, and prefers a coat that covers a longer hemline—it creates a smoother transition when wearing boots or heels...

I'm 6' tall, 180 pounds, and wear a size 16 in coats, sweaters, etc. Shoulder width and sleeve length are my two biggest problems with coats. Having read other reviews I expected this size 16 to be too large. It was not. The length was as stated, sleeves were long enough, shoulders wide enough. The workmanship was quality and the alpace/wool combination had an expensive feel.

My fault for ordering a size that was a bit large to start with;(I returned it for this reason) but this coat is a very generous cut and you could probably order 2 sizes down from your regular size. Also, as I am 5'11; it is probably too long in the sleeves for anyone shorter. (I am very evenly proportioned). This is the coat for Chicago and New York winters; although I am based in California, I travel there on business during the winter, and the warmth would have done the trick. Very large padded shoulders and very generous fit would not be flattering unless you are very thin and a bit tall. However, material and workmanship are top notch on the coat.

pretty coat but the raglan sleeves made it look like it was just hanging, not fitting. The fabric had a nice hand. It would have been perfect without the raglan sleeves and if it had a vent in the back.

This is a beautiful, well made coat - very soft, comfy, feels lightweight and hangs nicely. The camel color is just lovely and isn't a problem with my light colored pets. The alpaca blend is very soft and flows nicely but doesn't wrinkle easily. It feels warm enough but is not heavy or stiff. The satin lining seems very well made and slides over my bulky wool sweater. A very nice dressy coat that goes with everything. The coat is designed to be big enough to layer a suit or sweater under it. Some might find it a bit big or too long but it fits me perfectly - which is unusual for me. I am 5'11" and nothing ever fits me - especially sleeve length. The sleeves and overall length of this coat are perfect for me. Even the pockets are in the right place for me. I hope to have this coat a long time.

I was looking to replace a coat of similar style and cut. And this was just it. The fabric is nice and sturdy...

This coat is perfect. Light weight yet very warm. A simple classic style that goes with everything! I'll have this coat for years and always feel stylish.
