Jonathan Michael Wool-Cashmere Coat (For Women)

I wanted to like this coat, it fit everywhere but armholes and chest where it was quite tight. might be good for a very slender flatchested person who does not plan to wear a heavy sweater under it. returning it

I liked the fabric - it had a truly nice hand. However, the styling of the coat was too full (for me) below the waist, so I returned it.

A classic coat, the wonderful feel of cashmere. Nice to have length, especially in sleeves, when I'm used to coats being too short--and I'm only 5'9". Seems to run true to size, isn't large enough to wear heavier winter sweaters underneath. Don't know if it will be warm enough for a full Minnesota winter.

I bought this a year ago in size 10 and then lost 20 lbs. Fortunately, the coat was still available in my new smaller size. It is so difficult to find petite sized clothing so I was delighted to get this coat at such a great price.

This is a very classic and stylish coat. The drape is fluid and compliments the wearer. I plan on wearing it to the office mainly (I work at a small college)...although it is nice enough for more formal occasions. Thanks to the previous reviews I knew the pockets would be sewn together; those were easily opened. While it fits nicely through the shoulders, it seems very large through the waist and thighs. I would prefer a slightly more fitted silhouette.

I've searched high and low for a formal double breastd long winter coat that isn't either camel colored or black. This loden green was the first hopeful candidate I've found. Styling is perfect - except for a very long walking split which may let winter winds swirl too much around my legs. The length is also about 6" longer than I would have preferred since we get huge amounts of snow. The fabric is extremely soft and tailoring is great. While true to size, I returned my first purchase for a larger size so I could comfortably wear it over a suit jacket.

Beautiful coat. Thanks to earlier feedback, I ordered a 12 petite because I didn't want it too long. The fit is perfect. I also learned that there really are pockets and unpicked the stitching to find them. Very nice.

I think this coat runs about a size large. I originally ordered an 8, then exchanged it for a 6. This material is very soft, but feels like it will be warm. The color is a deep, grayed-green--darker than it showed in the ad. Lots of colors go well with it from camel to red. I was a little disappointed in the construction however. One sleeve is set in beautifully, the other not so great. On the size 8, the top stitching was crooked in places. Granted I am very particular about such things, but the coat was not advertized as a second. For any JW's reading this, I think it will make a great service coat.

I need a coat for business travel and meetings with customers. It's not warm enough for the deepest part of a Minnesota winter, but perfect for D.C. The olive color is greyer than I expected, but still nice. I usually buy 10 or 12 in shirts, so I bought this in a 12 thinking there would be room for a sweater or suit jacket. It is much too large, particularly in the shoulder. I am 5'6" tall, and the regular is too long. I am exchanging it for a 10 petite. Double-check the buttons, as two of mine fell off on the second wearing!
