Josef Seibel Jade Ankle Boots - Leather (For Women)

WOULD USE FOR WORK, MOSTLY OUTDOORS LACKS SUFFICIENT INSIDE SUPPORT IN HEEL, MATERIAL INSIDE SHOULD NOT BE SO SMOOTH AS FOOT TENDS TO SLIDE FORWARD AND DOWN A BIT WHICH MAKES THE SHOE UNCOMFORTABLE WOULD NEED TO USE A GEL SUPPORT STYLE WORKS FOR THE LOOK WITH SLIMMER PANTS WOULD HAVE LIKED A LITTLE LOWER HEEL

I wear a 38 and the length fits except for a slight pinching in the toes. It doesn't look like it, what with the shoes' squared toes, but the toe box is a tad narrower than my other pairs of Josef Seibel shoes. As a result, I had to return this pair. I neither wait until a pair of shoes is broken-in nor use shoe trees to stretch the shoes a smidgen. As far as I am concerned, shoes must fit well from the get-go. It's silly to put up with discomfort when it's uncertain that blissful comfort will come at a later time.

One pair fit great; the other pair I ordered, same size, had one boot that fit great and one boot that was noticeably tighter in both the foot and ankle than the other! Weird. Had to return.

Wish they had the insoles that my js shoes have, but are very nice looking.

I have a number of Josef Seibel shoes (sandals and clogs), and I love their comfort and construction, because I have muscular feet with a high arch, but they are iffy as far as styling goes. I had hopes these little boots would work, but in fact, they bore too much of the funky Seibel styling, and the cropped ankle hit my ankle bone uncomfortably. The rest of the fit was fine for me, however, and I ordered my regular size. But I sent them back.
