Josef Seibel Keely Mary Jane Shoes (For Women)

the padding inside the foot is nice and cushiony, but it's stiff in places. Also, the shoe is too big! I step out of it when I walk.

Read other reviews so I went a size up...too big..cute shoes just not for me....

For several years going now, almost all I buy is Joseph Seibel shoes. I love everything about the shoes. I read the other reviews here before buying since it was odd to see so many not-so-happy comments. Still, I took the chance. I was wrong. The shoe does fit wider than usual but, most importantly, the STRAPS area is VERY TALL/HIGH. Even with European tights this shoe puckers and looks poorly made (and feels funny when you have it on) in that area. Unfortunately, that area also is the one you and everyone else see! I am sadly returning the pair I bought to Sierra.

This shoe is not up to the usual high standards of the Josef Seibel shoe.

It has to be German design! Josef Seibel shoes are all about classic comfort. These shoes regularly priced don't come cheap and with the sweet deals on this site, they are worth every penny.

I usually can buy Josef Seibal shoes from the internet without trying on because they are so consistent on their sizing, but not this shoe. I hope it was just a fluke.

I like the square toe style but the overall shoe feels too wide, especially at the heel.

Ok- so they're not as comfortable as tennies, but they've got a great flexible sole and are completely leather lined so they should form to my foot in time. They fit my high instep nicely, which was surprising with the cross straps, so they might gap if your instep is lower. The patent leather is a cute addition, making these very versatile. I've worn them with dressy slacks and plan to wear them with long skirts too. At first I thought they were too stiff, but I gave them a chance and think I'm going to like them. Not an everyday shoe, but cute.

My dog chewed my old pair of black casual dressy shoes and now I'm really glad she did. These shoes are more dressy -- I would feel comfortable wearing them with a dressy outfit -- while still being cute with dressy jeans. They are very comfortable! And not just another pair of Mary Janes. I said they are narrow because my feet are very much on the narrow side of medium, and they fit me perfectly. (I have a lot of Mary Jane-type shoes because the strap keeps them from falling off my foot.)
