The leather is a little hard at the entrance but comfortable to walk in, very stable. Ordered the black patent, the stitches stand out more than shown in the picture, but that's okay. Now sizing is definitely an issue. Too long!! STP suggested order half size down, I say at least a full size. I am a size 7, order 6 (37), still feels like a regular 7.5. Does STP sell matching toebox stuffing? I really want to keep these shoes!

Reviewed by Grandma J from California on Monday, March 18, 2013I had read other reviews (that the shoes were not properly sized--too large), but I tried the shoes anyway. If only they had fit with insole inserts, and stuffing in the toes, I might have kept them, but then they slid off the heel (even with heel inserts). I never wore them out of the house, and am sadly sending them back for a refund.

On my left foot I felt it was thigh so I took out the lining and put a smaller one which is great. I can wear these shoes with dresses, pants, jeans. I bought 2 pairs (one grey and one black) and I am very happy. To bad no red pairs are available anymore. I would have bought a third pair.

Though it took a full day of wearing to break each pair in on the top of the foot and heel, they now feel so perfect and natural I'm glad I did. (I'd rather have to stretch them for a few wearings than have them be way too loose every time I wear.) The description is not kidding, they run at least a full size large. I am a size 9.5, but had to return the size 40 for a size 39.

I had to return the shoes because they were too wide for my foot [I wear a narrow shoe and sometimes a B width depending on the style of the shoe]. I also noticed that this particular style of shoe didn't seem to have as much cushioning to it. I have other Seibels that stand up to the test of time. The shoes are well made; however due to the lack of cushioning that Seibels are noted for I don't think I would reccommend this shoe although it is very pretty. If you are not concerned about the cushioning, these shoes are nicely made.
