JP 1893 Wool Full-Length Coat - Velvet Trim (For Women)

This coat is fabulous with its near-ankle length, velvet trim, and not-too-heavy 100 % wool quality that can be worn September through April. (It's not meant for those 20 inch, minus 10 degree days.) Yet if necessary, it's cut roomy enough to wear a warm sweater underneath without feeling too bulky. Great buy; excellent quality fabric; two thumbs up!

Beautiful coat, wonderful price

I bought this after reading all the positive commnents...very dissappointed. The material was like a horse blanket under a saddle and the design flaired out and makes you look pregnant. Sorry, I sent this back the next day.

Hard finish of material does not collect lint.

This is a very versatile coat! I got the charcoal one, and the contrast velvet trim is quite stylish -- enough so for dressing up, and the length is perfect for longer skirts, but the style goes equally well over jeans and a sweater and it's sized to fit nicely over winter clothes. I would have expected to pay 2 or 3 times the price for this coat.

Warm, classic design

Coat is very attractive and has a nice fit. Raglan sleeves make for comfortable coat over blazers and sweaters. Unfortuately, the quality of the wool is disappointing. Very rough, wrinkles instantly, and not for a cold winter day. For the price though, good second coat.

A little big through the torso, but not enough for me to return it. It will fit over blazers and suits. I like the dark charcoal gray color (casual) and the velvet trim (dressy). It will serve many purposes.

Still pondering whether to return this coat. On the one hand it has a dressy,classic look that will last, the colour is a versatile neutral and a fabulous price. However, at 5'3" this coat drowns me - it reaches my ankles. I would need to alter it. Also, the wool material is quite thin; this is not a heavy winter coat. Perhaps it's just as well that it is sized on the roomy side so that you can wear layers underneath. The workmanship seems acceptable. Good-looking coat at a reasonable price, just know that the quality of material is reflected in the price.

This coat is long enough to wear over dresses and skirts. I'm classic enough to believe that a coat should cover your skirt unless you are wearing a long jacket (to just below your hips and rear). This coat has classic lines. I think I will be wearing it years from now. It is stunning, yet not too formal that I wouldn't wear it over slacks.
