Jules Jurgensen Genuine Jade Gemstone Watch (For Women)

I purchased this for my wife. She loves it. It is even better than I expected.

Every time I wear the watch, I received compliments on how beautiful and unusual. I was not sure what to expect, I have purchased other jade products online and have been disappointed with the color of the jade, this time I was not disappointed, the picture accurately depicts the colors of jade.

I really like the look and simplicity of the watch, not to mention uniqueness!

The watch case is 5/16th deep, the watch face and case is 1 1/2" long. Bulky rather than dainty looking. The jade segments ( ea. 11/16ths long) are pretty, but as they are not contoured for the curve of the wrist they gap open as the bracelet curves around my 6" wrist. The total length is 7 1/2". When the watch is pulled up on my arm until the 7 1/2" is tight to the arm, the band contours better. Perhaps a better fit for a larger wrist.

I usually wear a pretty large Timex watch with a leather band - something that can survive my workday and gardening habits - but I've never owned a "dress" watch because they're usually too small for me to see clearly (I've got old eyes) and too dinky and silly-looking on my broad wrist. This watch is dressy enough for special occasions and nice enough to wear (and gain compliments) on days I'm in the office or on the road. The clasp is a little tricky - I struggled for a few minutes until I figured out how it worked - but now it's easy - but not too easy. You don't want to lose this watch. The materials are very smooth - so nothing to catch on your clothes or to snag. The jade inserts in four colors let you wear this with anything. People will stop you and ask where you got it.

This is a beautiful watch, well crafted from very fine, quality material. It's not too bulky on the wrist but it has heft and substance. Eyes are drawn to the unique jade stones on the band and to the mother of pearl face. The face is also very stylish. It's perfect for work and for the theatre. I wouldn't wear it everyday, though, since I'd like to keep it minimally scratched. Excellent quality for an amazing price.
