I liked this shirt so much I bought an extra for myself and two more as gifts for friends. I used Nik Wax cotton treatment on mine then used it constantly on a three day river trip. I added a fleece undergarment for the cool evenings and mornings in camp and wore the shirt alone while drifting the river. Temperatures ranged from the high 30s to the low 80s and the shirt was always comfortable. It turned light rain and wind aside efficiently. Surprising versatility. This shirt has clean lines, washes nicely, and is well-made with quality materials and attention to practical details.

This shirt is more like a jacket. The material is very heavy and somewhat stiff after 1 washing. It will probably get softer after a couple of trips through the washer. I bought an XXL and it's a bit short.

This is a very nice shirt, but it runs a little bigger than most brands as far as width. There's plenty of room for the shoulders. Not a slim fitting shirt at all. The instructions say it's made to eventually fade and to not wash it's initial washing with light colored clothing. I didn't witness any discoloration , despite what the tag stated. I have to get used to the styling, kind of Western looking but not over the top. It's a great casual shirt with jeans.
