Reviewed by Kate from New Mexico on Sunday, May 12, 2013I had to go 1/2 a size up because my feet wouldn't go forward in the shoe (due to the leather straps being a little too tight) enough for my heels to sit on the right part. I have average width feet. If my feet were narrower, they probably would be true to size. I wore the smaller size for 2 days to see if they would stretch out but had no luck. With the larger size, they are very comfortable and cute. However, there is extra space beyond my toes since the length is slightly longer than my foot.

I was a little horrified at first glance when I took them out of the box...they screamed "orthopedic sandal" and were kind of ugly, truthfully. I slide my feet into them and the fit was really weird. The lattice straps were tight over the mid foot but the ankle box was loose. Needless to say, they went back to STP.

The bottom of the shoe is a little heavy, but not enough to send back or not wear. I wish they came in white. In fact, I wish you had boat style in white or off white for the summer. I had my hip replaced and the earth shoes really helped in pt as I was instructed to always put the heal first as I walk. This shoe forces you to put heal first, so I wore them along with orthaheel during my whole recovery which was very short. I also have back problems, and when I start aching, I put on my earth shoes and it really helps settle my muscle spasms down. I wish others new about this potential benefit. I'm not sure it would work for everybody, but for my back problems, these shoes are a god send. They are getting much cuter too!

They look grand..and the back zip seems good, but walking is not as easy as with some of my other Earth Shoes...Most of my shoes are Earth kalso...and I their comfort is excellent. These look a tad better than they walk. I will wear them more for looks than walking.

They are pretty comfortable the first wear with only some minor rubbing in the heal. They are a little hot when you're standing directly in the sun for a while, but not uncomfortably so. I had at least 5 people comment on how cute they are today. Very happy with this purchase!

These I rate lower though because for someone with a high instep and vein close to the surface of the top of my foot they tend to make my foot feel numb ob the right side by the end of the day.
