“Camping for three days 12-18in of snow with temps down to -14 while we were outside. I should have used pants with gaters but without them even in the deep snow I didn't get snow in the boots.
I got one foot ankle deep in mostly liquid slush hiding under fresh snow and stayed dry.
Wearing a thin wicking liner and medium/heavy wool hiking socks my feet were quite comfortable feeling cold only after I was sitting around for a few hours without much movement.”
