    These would be perfect for a slow hike on a winters day, but there is no snow in Utah yet this year December 25, 2011 weird year. But I am glad that I am prepared for when it comes. But as for Ice fishing these are perfect cause burrr its cold out there.

    Bought these to use on a winter raft trip. The tops have 2 different areas to adjust the shank tight against your chin. If they were 2" taller they would be near perfect. As is they are a great value for the money.

    Bought these to wear on a cold weather raft trip. These should work great. They tighten both at the lower foot and up at the calf seperately. More comfortable to walk in than standard rubber boots.

    While I haven't had occasion to really test these bad boys out yet,I did scout some hunting locations and they were comfortable and stable on side slopes. You really have to cinch them down though.I would suggest a couple of buckles to hold down the ankle.Can't wait to test them in extreme cold/wet conditions.

    These are good boots - they are warm and waterproof, BUT they are not perfect. The elasticated lacing system isn't really capable of holding your foot secure, so when you walk your foot slides back and forth, no matter how tight you have them cinched up. Eventually this leads to your socks being worked off, which gets annoying very quickly! If you want these for standing around in the cold waiting for game to appear (such as in a deer stand) they are great, but if you intend using them to go in search of your quarry, they are not so good!
