DO NOT BUY. I wear a size 10 (US) and bought these boots in a size 10. That's how it should be, right? Well, these turned out to be the most uncomfortable shoes I have ever worn. I wore them when travelling abroad and running around airports with these on just about killed me. They are EXTREMELY narrow and left my feet in a lot of pain, plus on top of that my ankles bled from the chafing. Despite the fact that they feel agonizingly tight on the inside, they felt like they were at the same time too big on the outside, i.e. they felt clunky and clumsy. Where's the logic? And the shoe laces wouldn't stay tied either. Can't even return them because I've left the US and don't have access to a UPS service anymore. In summary, these are AWFUL!

This product seems fair for the price but small. I wear a size 11. I purchased a size 12 but my toe still touches the end. Going back.

I ordered these and the Sorel Caribou II both in a siz 12. I have a narrow foot and wear a true 11.5 narrow dress shoe, 12 narrow in athletic shoe. Based on the reviews most said this boot runs narrow. For a snow boot yes (not super narrow) it does which is good for me. However the size 12 is too short and I will need a 13 in this boot. The Sorel has more volume and the length is more true to size, 12 is fine. Differences, lower rubber portion of the boot, I like the Kamik better, sole appears like it will last longer and it's more firm. It also has a harder toe for good protection. I think the tread is better suited for more all around use in cold weather (snow, rain, mud, hard pack) The Sorel sole traction will probably win in snow but not as universal. The uppers and liner, the Sorel wins on the upper. The liner is removable and is closed all the way up the boot. This Kamik boot, the liner isn't removable and is open down the front all the way down behind the tong. In cold wet weather they are probably even. In deep snow or water the Sorel appears to be a better design. So who wins. Overall, depends on your need and fit requirements. i think the Sorel feels warmer after sitting around in one of each for a few minutes in the house. The Sorel appears a little better made except the bottom area I give to the Kamik, Fit, I like the Kamik because it's more narrow and that's a hard find for me. So what to keep? I will probably keep the Sorel but I would love to have a 13 to try in this Kamik. Since I won't wear these out for a while with limited use I may order the 13 Kamik and see. Hope that helps.

My wife and I both got Kamik brand boots and we love them. We have been traveling cross-country ti get to Bellingham, WA to catch the Alaska ferry and since we drove through the mountains we got plenty of opportunities to walk in the snow and on ice with our boots and they are very warm and extremely stable and comfortable to wear. Main thing about these boots is that they are warm as promised.

  • Question “I am in no immediate rush to receive your answer so no need for CHATZILLA, but thanks for the opportunity to use it.||My 2+ questions are as follows: |I am ordering the Kamik Conquest Winter Waterproof Pac boots for my husband and I have a few questions: |1. Please tell me a little about the 8mm Zylextra® liner, is it difficult to put in/remove? Does it interfere with the normal fit of the boot? If so, how? (Tell me what you think I need to know)||2.Due to an accident thatleft Scott, my husband, with a crushed foot and uneven arches he wears a foot brace inside one shoe to compensate for this problem. He is not planning to use the brace when he wears these boots, so, can you suggest an arch support that he might place inside the one boot to "act as the brace" kind of a quasi-replacement for the brace? ||In closing, thank you for reviewing this lengthy email. I look forward to your reponse||Phyllis Layman|playman@comcast.net”
Asked on 1/18/2011 12:00:00 AM by Phyllis from Vincentown, NJ
    • Answer It does take a little effort to get the liner in and out, but with use I'm sure it will break in and get easier. The Zylextra is Kamik's proprietary removable liner. A revolutionary three layer design provides Superior Warmth and Moisture Management Protection. 1st layer closest to the foot, wicks perspiration away and provides an antibacterial treatment to fight the growth of odor causing bacterial and fungus. The 2nd layer is made up of a combination of dense felt and new wool layer that traps body heat within the natural air pockets. The 3rd layer is made of thermal foil, a Space Program technology which provides a deflecting barrier against the outside cold while reflecting body heat back to the body.|I prefer Superfeet as a brand of insoles that I have in all of my shoes. As far as a replacement for the brace though I wouldn't be able to say for sure. You can lace the upper to fit as snugly or as loose as you would like.

  • Question “I recently purchased these boots for my son. He needs boots with a removable liner for an upcoming snow shoe trip. We tried to remove the liner to test the boot but it doesn't seem to come out all the way. It appears to be glued or fastened under the top of the boot where the leather meets the rubber. Has anyone else experienced this? I am hesitant to force the liner to come out so as to not damage the boot.”
Asked on 1/13/2011 12:00:00 AM by Anonymous from Unknown
    • Answer The liner takes some effort to remove, it should not be glued down.
