Nice bootsVerified Buyer Reviewed by Port from Washington on Monday, October 13, 2014I bought these boots for my daughter who is preparing for winter after moving from Vashon Island to the mountains in Washington state, They appear to be true to size and fit her perfectly. They are nice looking, light weight and will be perfect for the snow and ice she is going to be dealing with until spring.

I do not know what it is about this brand. I ordered other Kamiks in a size 7 and fit too tight-no room for even athletic socks. These are an 8 (a size larger) and I feel I could not wear them with thick socks-I tried them with athletic socks. I think thick wool socks are out of the question. I am not sure how warm they are either. the package indicates they are good for -25F, so perhaps the fact that they are so insulating nullifies wearing thick warm socks. I plan on wearing them with a light hiking sock that is moisture wicking. I am keeping them because I NEED them and they are comfortable; I am not sure that a nine would fit-I have never worn a nine and they do not make 1/2 sizes either-I don't think!

Unfortunately this model seems to run small - I usually wear a size 10 in Kamik but in this I'd need a 10.5. Unfortunately I had to send these boots back.
