sturdy boot for day hikes. good traction for wet weather.

I read the revies of eyelets pulling out, but so are ours are fine after a week of wear. It is a bit tough to pull the laces to tighten, but once they are tight the fit and comfort were good (as reported by my 3-1/2 year old).

We looked everywhere, this time of year for a decent, affordable pair of hiking boots for our son. We had no luck. These boots are ideal for your little ones that grow out of shoes quickly. He loves them and has worn them at school and hiking since he got them in the mail. Very affordable, comfortable, and stylish. We purchased them a little bigger so that he could wear them a little longer and they fit great. He did not complain at all about his feet hurting either. So I don't believe that they need to be broke in before taking a long walk in them. We will be purchasing these shoes again as soon as these are too small.

My daughter is very happy with the hiking boots. They feel comfortable and she likes them.

My son loves these shoes. I love them due to the high ankle. Now I won't have as much dirt in his shoes because his jeans go over the tops so well. Excellant construction of the shoe. Very Very Pleased with them.

These are great knock around boots .... light weight, but good support.

We bought two pair of these boots for our girls for backpacking trips. The eyelet on one pair fell off the second time she put them on. The second pair had such a big bump in the footbed that they were very uncomfortable. We sent both pair back. These boots are very cheaply made.

My 8-year old son loves these boots, great for hiking, we're just breaking them in for our hike to Half Dome, but they've performed well in training hikes.

They are real good boots for kids to go trail walking
