The jacket was advertised as a puff jacket. There is little or no puff. The jacket is stiff like cardboardy. It is not sufficient for extreme winter cold. Fine for like 25-35 degrees

After trying on several jackets, this is the one I happily settled on. It is warm, water resistant, not-too-bulky, the exterior fabric is tough enough to handle carrying chopped wood to and fro, the back extends down a bit lower than the front to keep your lower back/bum warm, the pockets zipper tightly closed and it is very comfortable. I have absolutely no complaints!

This jacket seemed true to size, had a nice soft snug collar and seemed well made. The outer fabric is a bit like a brushed twill, light and comfortable, probably adds to the warmth of the down insulation. However, I was planing to use it under a longer rain jacket on cold wet New England mornings, and decided a nylon fabric would work better under the second jacket, so I returned it. If you are looking for a stand alone down jacket, I think this is a really good jacket at a good price.
