Really warm and comfortable shoes right out of the box. However, sizing is a big problem and though I ordered a size larger, they were still slightly small. I used them immediately for a 9-mile hike in the Whites. Started in mud and ended up in very heavy snow and ice. Performed well everywhere except the ice. They simply have ZERO traction for icy conditions. Snow is OK, but not ice. Felt I needed crampons.

These boots run two sizes too small.
Thought they would work for my son but even though he wears a seven the eight was still too small. Would have been nice boots otherwise however they are very stiff as well.

At least a size to small. Also they charged my new pair at the outlet in Cheyenne before crediting the old ones thus costing me an extra 25 bucks to cover the bank fee. (I brought them in for an exchange)

I work in a hockey rink where standing in two inches of water is common. The gortex like and man made materials is the best I've found so far.
Very light weight shoe. My second pair, for when my first pair wears out. I typically go through a pair a year.

I took these boots for a test run yesterday. They were very comfortable and kept my feet very warm and dry. I was trudging through a lot of snow with my camera on tripod and not once did my feet feel heavy or bulky. I love these boots! They are very comfortable and pretty cool looking too.
I am a woman and i actually bought the mens boots because i have a wide foot at the toe. If you buy mens boot, i would actually buy true to size in your womens shoe size. My size is 9 and I ordered a mens 8. They were too small. So I ordered the 9 and they fit perfectly. So I would say these run pretty small for a mens boot. Just beware before purchasing.

I purchased these boots for my husband who needed a good boot for the cold weather and snow. I read the previous reviews and took their advice and ordered one whole size bigger. They just fit him. He normally wears a size 10 but I purchased the size 11. He says they are very comfortable and very warm. No breaking in either. Thanks SierraTradingPost for another great purchase at a great buy.
