Extra volume requires more work with the laces and i am adding an insole to take up some of the room.

i read electric meters in these boots. so far they have kept my feet dry and no pain. i walk aroung 10 miles a day in these boots. it has been difficult for me to find boots that are light, waterproof and comfortable. these boots are all three.

This was a great boot that I used on a recent hiking trip over rough terrain. I was concerned that the low price may equate to a cheap boot that would be heavy or give me blisters. This was not the case. It was very comfortable with great traction the first time out. It was on the big side, so the next half-size down worked for me. As a side note, the gore-tex is more for cooler weather. I'm very cold natured, but when we were in the car, my feet got a little warm. On the trail, however, it was perfect.
