Karbon Athena Ski Jacket - Waterproof Insulated (For Women)

I've been eyeing this jacket on this site, but a green one wasn't available in my size. When I saw a size 8 was available in green, I ordered it, and it arrived today. It is a highly technical jacket, well-designed, very stylish, sporty, and unique looking. Lots of pockets and the jacket flairs out nicely at the hips, which the picture doesn't show. There are pit zips, too, which don't open down the sleeve and body as much as some other jackets I've seen. They pretty much open from mid chest to mid-upper arm. The green is true to the color displayed on my computer. It's darker and deeper than a lime green, but not as dark or as bright as a parrot green. It's somewhere in between. The green is quite nice, not at all garish. The contrasting colors are done very nicely to accent a female shape without being too feminine. I have not worn it outside yet, but I will be testing it on a ski trip to Colorado this weekend. I find the zippers to be stiff and are difficult to open and close. My skier husband says that's good because you want the zippers to stay shut when skiing. Like I said, this is a highly technical quality jacket, that's tastefully styled, and for this price, an incredible deal.

I am a serious downhill skier and this jacket is both very functional and stylish. It is an awesome value. The picture doesn't do it justice. The jacket has an A line fit that doesn't show in the picture. I've been looking for a long time for a ski coat like this (I've returned a number of them).

The fabrics are great. It's a very nice product and is very high quality. Unfortunately the area under the armpit region is cut quite low and my girlfriend found this to be someone restrictive, which also gave a bulky feel. Also, the large rubber attachments for the removable hood made the front of the jacket collar less pliable than other jackets that are out there.

A great quality jacket. You can tell right away it is very well made and has all the amenities you can think of when you are out on the mountain, trails, or hills.

This coat provides exceptional functionality for the backcountry skier at a great price. It is fully waterproof, and breathes very well. It kept me dry ice climbing near Gatineau on a four day expedition and I can't wait to use it for years and adventures to come!
