I wanted a Karbon since my daughter bought one in the beginning of the year and it was heavy duty . This coat is much nicer in person. Very good quality. I ordered pink and I never order pink. Beautiful deep pink but not bubble gum pink. Nice magnet closures. So warm you can not wear it in... Read More

I am an avid skier. I wore this jacket for the first time this weekend and it is not seam sealed. Here's what I experienced...
I was skiing in heavy snow and the jacket performed fine. I took a break in the lodge and the snow all melted off my jacket. I returned for more runs and later I felt a dampness all along the sleeve seam. When I took my jacket off inside there was a line of wetness extending from my armpits to my wrists on both sides. The melted snow had slowly tracked down into the seam and onto my base layer. How disappointing!
Otherwise this jacket is gorgeous, has better features than the high end jacket I had prior.
Despite this, I plan to keep it...I can wear it on blue-sky days with no snow and no snow guns, plus it looks great out to casual dinner and around my mountain town. So FYI...Do not plan to wear this if you ski in powder or in a snowstorm.

I bought this jacket for skiing this winter. Kinda crazy buying a ski jacket in August, but STP had a great sale going. This jacket is very warm with all kinds of great details, like a goggle pocket, iPod pocket, pocket on the sleeve. The hood snaps down in the back so that it's not annoying if you don't want to use it. The color (I got pink) is very vivid. I like black chevrons on the side too which give it a slimmer look. The inner sleeves are very comfy and snug to the wrist. The outer sleeves velcro for a tight fit. The jacket is relatively light but warm. It also has a great snow skirt and little zippers at the hips if you want to have a little more room at the hips. Finally, there are pit zippers for cooling off on the slopes. Overall, this jacket is loaded with details and stylish. I can't wait to wear it on the slopes.

This jacket had a very stylish look, but I think it is cut for someone with a more typical woman's build than me because it is snug in the chest and a little too roomy in the hips, a little shorter in length than I expected & a little short waisted. The sleeves are nice and long but a little snug. The size 6 I bought would be perfect for a woman about 5'2" with measurements 34-26-38.

I wanted a Karbon since my daughter bought one in the beginning of the year and it was heavy duty . This coat is much nicer in person. Very good quality. I ordered pink and I never order pink. Beautiful deep pink but not bubble gum pink. Nice magnet closures. So warm you can not wear it in the house. I think only a turtle neck is needed under this even skiing at Mt Snow where in the winter the top is -zero. My wool ski sweater was too hot under this. The arms are slim but not tight but bend well at the elbows. The jacket is very well designed for function. The chest area is not huge so if you are larger in the chest area i would size up. Really am happy with this jacket and I had tried on many in ski store.

Beautiful jacket. The black sides are slimming. Love the drawstring cinch at the bottom. It's not in the way and leaves room for a hippier girl like myself to not feel so confined. The inside pockets are perfect. Had trouble finding sleeve lengths that weren't too long. These are perfect and have an elastic type at the wrists for increased protection from the wind. Love this jacket.
