Kayland Vertigo High eVent® Hiking Boots - Waterproof (For Men)

I am almost always a 10 shoe size and order shoes online all the time (usually without a problem). I ordered a 10 in these boots and they are about a size too small. I'm disappointed because they look like very nicely made boots.

I wanted something that wasn't as heavy as my Alico's, and were waterproof (and as comfortable as my original, Italian-made Sundowners). I tried Asolo, and find that my foot contacts the boot in a few areas: not really comfortable. These boots seem to fit me like a glove. For the record, I wear an 8.5-9, slightly wide foot, and I bought these in a 9. I thought they might be a bit snog, but wearing them at work today, I think that I might have bought the correct size. One odd/bad feature: the tongue bellows doesn't start until a few inches down on the tongue (by the fabric lace loop): if you step in water that's too deep, your feet are getting wet.

Every day use to wilderness backpacking, and some rock climbing. These boots can support heavy pack loads. These boots run somewhat small and should be sized up by one-half to a full size.

I am in the construction industry and can be on my feet all day over different kinds of terrain. The ankle support is firm and supportive but, not like a ski boot. They true to my size, 10, and are very comfortable.

order 1/2 to 1 size larger.size 11 felt more like size 10-10.5
