I love this boot, especially the achilles notch and pad at the back of the boot. But there's a problem. This boot runs small. It was tight in the toes (it really angles in) and just generally tight all around. Even getting a half size larger, it was still too tight! I couldn't imagine wearing this boot on a long hike. If you were a size 6, a 7.5 might fit you. But I wouldn't count on it!

Beautiful, well-made boot that I was looking forward to wearing... I wear standard sz 7, followed STP advise and ordered 1 sz up, sz 8. It ended up being a bit too short, so I ordered another pair, sz 8 1/2 worrying it would not be long enough... Well, I had no reason to worry: 8 1/2 felt like it was a full size and a half bigger than my first pair... Very disappointed, returning the boot...

Boot recieved from STP made in [*]. Arch support too foreward & painful on feet. Same boot purchased at independent retailer made in Romania fit perfectly. Wore it every day for 5 days hiking in Adirondaks, and very satisfied. Would recommend the Romanian product, but not the [*] made boot.

I WORK OUTSIDE, CARRYING HEAVY ITEMS, SQUATTING, LIFTING, AND ON MY FEET ALL DAY. THESE BOOTS KEEP MY FEET FEELING GREAT ALL DAY. THEY EVEN ABSORB THE SHOCK WHEN I JUMP OFF OF A 3 FOOT STEP. I AM 53 YEARS OLD AND I WANT AND APPRECIATE GOOD FOOTWEAR. THESE ARE GREAT.
Best Uses: Hiking, MOUNTAIN CLMBING, Working
Cons: A BIT HOT ON THE FEET
Pros: GREAT SHOCK ABSORBTION, Great Support, HANDLES THE ROCKS WELL, Very well made
