This is my 3 year old's second pair of these boots. He LOVES them and wears them everyday during the winter months in the midwest. They keep him dry and warm and he is excited to wear them.

Obviously I can't say how comfortable they are because 2 year olds don't exactly comment on that - but they tromped all over our woods in them the day they arrived - even though they're still a couple sizes too big. Keens last and are such good looking shoes.

I bought these boots for my girls, ages 3 & 5, who have narrow thin feet. I was looking for a lightweight, toasty boot that wasn't so stiff. It is very important that they are comfortable in their outdoor gear so they enjoy winters. They've loved Keens over the summers and I was thrilled to get these for winter. The girls have played in 20 degree or less weather already this year and have not complained. They play outside every day doing various activites. During winter hikes the tread has not frozen and become slippery like other [$] plus boots that I have purchased. They are easy for my 5 yr old to get on. Key is holding onto the back loop when inserting foot. She did complain that the tag inside rubbed her leg one day. I should have had higher socks on her. My 3 yr old sometimes needs help pushing her foot into the boot. The tops of the boot are not as soft as I'd imagined but much softer than anything boot I've seen. Yet tight enought that they won't twist an ankle. The drawstring at the ankle is great for keeping snow out, but it takes some wearing to soften the newness. You'd never know they were wearing minus 25 degree rated boots under everyday pants, they are so cute. I usually buy a size larger in winter boots to make room for SmartWool socks and to maintain circulation which is important for warmth. So as far a sizing we had no problems. We are very satisfied and will buy more when they outgrow these. Unless Keen comes up with something even better! It was very hard to not purchase a 3rd pair for my 1 1/2 yr old but she has plenty of hand-me-downs and is not as active yet.

I read the first review and decided to order 2 sizes larger than my daughter wears and the boots fit great with a little room to grow. She wore a 9 in the Keen summer sandals and I ordered an 11. I am thrilled with the look of the boots -I haven't seen any boots I've liked as well in our local outdoor stores. Great price too!

These Keens are a cute boot, but not quite as high as the picture makes them seem. They are extremely difficult to get in and out of which can easily frustrate a child. The biggest con is that they run incredibly small. My child went up 2 whole sizes before they actually fit! Otherwise, it is a good looking functional boot available at a good price.
