    This shoe has a very stiff foot bed with excellent traction on the sole. It really is designed for trails, not street walking. It is a shoe, not a boot, so it doesn't have great ankle support. I was looking to replace an old pair of keens that had identical looking uppers which I love and wear every day. These are not the same shoe, but I wanted a pair of shoes for day hikes and these look like they'll be perfect for that.

    Size 11's fit well, except that the instep across the widest part of my foot was a little tight. I expect that will improve as they get broken in. I also have Keen Newport H2's, which are wider across the instep area. I wore the Arroyo II's on a 2 mile walk on mostly concrete, and my feet didn't hurt at all (they usually would). These will be my go-to shoes for walking, biking, and camping.
