My son is in a school program that has them outside two hours a day in all kinds of weather. I think very hard about his gear and like to purchase high quality products that I know will protect him from the harshness of the elements while letting him. Experience the beauty and fullness of nature. These boots fit the bill. I am sure by spring they will be well worn through from use. (but they are so sturdy..maybe not..we'll see)

I bought these for my 5 yr old son. Getting them on and off was really difficult, although the tongue comes out a fair distance, and my son cannot get them on or off without my help. The end of the laces hang down from the top of the boot at least a foot so they have to be doubled knotted and then somehow looped and tucked back under the laces to keep them from hanging down and dragging behind the foot....whats up with that length? On the plus side, they are really cool looking boots, they come up high on the calf, my son says they are really comfortable, they have a thick padded foot bed and the fur lining going all the way down to the foot bed. Im sure since they are Keens they will hold up well and keep my son's feet warm and dry in the snow. If you can get past the annoyingly long laces and the difficulty getting them on or off then go for it. I got them on clearance so I can live with those issues.
    • Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Good Cushioning, Stable, Stylish, Warm
    • Sizing: Feels true to size
    • Was this a gift?: No
    • Width: Feels true to width

About Keen

Keen shoes have been helping feet find adventure since 2003, and it all began with the signature KEEN.PROTECT toe bumper. It might seem strange to build a footwear company around a feature, but that iconic toe bumper is more than just a style add-on. It’s what allows Keen sandals to hit the trails and provide the best toe protection possible. In fact, Keen was one of the first footwear companies to make closed-toed hiking sandals. Over the years, the product selection has continued to grow and now includes Keen hiking boots, trail shoes, cycling shoes, socks, clothing and bags. The brand is also actively involved in land and water conservation projects in the US, Canada, Europe and Japan.
