Closeouts. The trail may be rocky, but you can roll right on through in Keen's Genoa Peak trail shoes. They feature the S3 system — which absorbs shock, supports feet on impact and reduces the odds of twisting an ankle — and a stone bruising protection plate in the forefoot.
This is my second pair. The toe box area is large enough to accomodate a heavy pair of socks. I am very fussy about comfort and these trail shoes are extremely comfortable. I'm hoping to locate another pair in my size!

Sorry for not commenting earlier but I had to wait until I used the shoes for a few weeks. The major problem I'm having with these shoes is keeping to laces tied. The laces just won't stay tied. I could double tie them but I have arthritis in my hands and would have trouble getting them un-tied. I will most likely buy different laces if I can find some the right color. My husband purchased these for me. They are heavier than I'm used to wearing but I will get used to them.

Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
I wear these on my daily commute. They are by far the best all around walking shoes I have ever worn. Equally great for street and trail walking and truly waterproof. They run a tad small, so size up one half from your normal street shoe size. Highly recommended.
