I chose these shoes for wearing around the house and for occasional trips to the mailbox and walking the dog. These are men's shoes but ordered them anyway. They are generous in size, so heavy socks are a must or you will feel your foot sliding around the inside. Would not recommend these shoes for any type of inclement weather because of the wool uppers. That said, the wool uppers are very warm and I suppose you could spray these to make them waterproof/resistant if needed. They are wonderful support if you suffer from arthritis of the joints. Would have loved to order a pair of these for my husband, but alas the sizes were sold out. Keen makes a wonderful shoe and I highly recommend the brand. I own several styles of their footwear, worth their price tag!
