They don't slip on easy, but once they are on they stay on your feet better and your foot doesn't' slip around inside if they get wet. I guess these are more like water shoes, although I just bought them for the color. Of course I love the flexibility of getting them wet, but probably won't use them for water much. I wish the pull on loop in the back was a bit larger, it is difficult to get your finger inside the loop to be able to really help you pull them on. I doubt I could wear these with socks either.

Thank you STP! I have a moderately wide foot with issues and the wide toebox and sturdy support are just right, providing a stable platform and protection for my feet. Very comfortable, and no problems right out of the box for light hiking.

The only cons with this shoe is they are difficult to get on and off. So if you are looking for a shoe that is a quick on and off think again.
