Closeouts. Perfect for taking the road less traveled, Keen's Newport trail shoes combine durable, waterproof leather uppers with a patented rubber toe guard for complete protection on rough, rugged terrain.
I bought this style of Keens without ever seeing them in the store or trying them on. I read the reviews and like many Keens ordered a half-size up. I wear a 9 in most shoes but the 9.5 is a perfect fit in this shoe. I take a 9 in Keen voyager, but a 9.5 in the Targhee II, so there is even size variation with their different styles. These shoes are a little taller than a regular sneaker but not as tall as a hiker. I got them for going for walks in less than perfect New England fall weather and for variegated terrain such as the cobblestone streets of Boston. They're waterproof without making your feet hot and sweaty.

I thought a 9 1/2 would be great for sizing, but like others I find this Keen to be smallish. I have feet issues and wanted this for the wide toe-box. Next time I'll go to a 10. Otherwise I like this shoe, is conforming and turning into pretty comfy shoe. Attractive too, gives that short foot profile that is so cute.

I chose these for hiking and love that they are waterproof but haven't run into any water yet, so I can't comment on that end of it. They have great ankle support for being shoes and are comfortable. Took the advice of others and got a half size up from my usual size and was very happy I did.

This shoe goes beyond the waterproof/watersports issue...in fact, I think it should be listed as a hiking shoe first. I have a # of Keen shoes, starting with my sandals. These are a great combination of the original Keen idea but in a much more "year round" package. COMFORT is the main feature of these boots. I did NOT want to take them off the first night! [...] Do order a 1/2 size larger on most Keen products!

Perfect for wet areas and climates like Southeast Alaska when you don't want to wear those extra-tuff rubber boots again! Waterproof enough for trails but not if your actually wading in pools.

I can't get over this shoe. Neighbor recommended them as she has 4 pairs. I was so HAPPY she did as this is the most comfortable walking/hiking shoe I've worn. I've had other shoes that were binding. Not anymore. The shoes are wide enough that there is NO rubbing of any sort. I can't wait to buy another pair.
