I normally wear an 8 in Keens and ordered these in an 8 and a 8.5. I found that the 8.5 were a little big (my heel was lifting out as I walked), so I stuck with the size 8. They are a little more snug than typical Keens, but they aren't too bad. The only thing is that I have a large calf and thes...

I've had a lot of trouble finding boots that fit for a trip to "cold country" at Christmas. For the past few years, I'd buy a pair that seemed to fit and then limp around, begging to sit down. Keen Palermo to the rescue! These boots (which I ordered one-half size larger than my usual shoe size) were fantastic. Kept me warm and dry and were completely comfortable all day long. Easy entry, not bad looks, desirable black color, good price . . . what more could you ask for?

The name of "Coffee Bean" for the brown is really appropriate. When I look down at my feet they really do look like (giant) well-roasted (think French Roast dark) coffee beans poking out, ha, ha! (What can I say? I in the coffee capital of the world!) These are really cute, stylish and comfortable.
The ties at the front allow for easy tightening. Just tuck the excess into the lacing.

I ordered them for after skiing and they are clearly not warm enough for that. Great for around town, subway etc. though (for those of us who don't like heels). Regular size fits great and they are really comfortable and nice looking.
If you click on the color boxes it will show the color stated. We only have coffee bean and black in stock.

You may want to try the 7.5. I'm a 7.5 or 8 and the 8 fits fine with socks. The black was out of stock in my size too, so I bought the brown - it is very nice. The red is another color (not the brown) that the boot came in, but which Sierra doesn't carry.

These are a warm boot for cold, wet conditions. You can get a further idea from the buyer reviews on their satisfaction. I wouldn't call these snow boots, even though they are waterproof. They do not have fleece or thinsulate lining. They will be great for rain, and you can boost the warmth by wearing wool socks, but if you are looking for a artic boot, you'll probably want to pick something heavier with insulation.
