Keen Palermo Boots - Waterproof, Leather (For Women)

I normally wear an 8 in Keens and ordered these in an 8 and a 8.5. I found that the 8.5 were a little big (my heel was lifting out as I walked), so I stuck with the size 8. They are a little more snug than typical Keens, but they aren't too bad. The only thing is that I have a large calf and these go to about midcalf up on the leg and sometimes feel tight on my calf. Even so, these are great shoes and will be great trekking through campus in the snow and rain. Stylish and not bulky like a typical cold weather boot, which makes these even better. I liked the look of these boots and some reviewers said that they are also good as everyday boots. Not for me! I have thin legs and relatively big feet. The elastic didn't do much to sinch the boots down and they were massive around my ankles. Would never be able to wear as a work boot with shorts. Returning them.

I was expecting the Keen molded footbed that is contoured, with a toe ridge. I have 5 other Keen boot/shoes, that all have these soles that are sooooo comfortable. The innersoles of these are flat, I would need orthotics to make them comfortable. I have returned them. They are very great looking, look like they were made well.

Keen makes great shoes, comfortable and durable and cute, too!

Look equally good in casual and work settings, with the right clothes.

I have not worn these yet, but will get great use out of them next winter. I have an embarrassing amount of Keens & love them all.

I haven't had a chance to really road-test these boots as the weather is being stubbornly warm. However am intending to take them to the Australian east coast next week (where it's cooler) and also to the States at the end of the year. But for now, they fit well - I did order a half-size bigger than I wear for my other KEENs (I have 5 pairs now) and am glad I did. They fit really well. Great colour (red) - may also buy in black.[...]

Although the ad said get a half size larger they ended up being too big. Other than that they were very nice looking and of course comfortable.
