Keen Palmetto Thong Sandals - Leather (For Women)

Love Keen shoes. These have a strong leather odor that I hope will disipate, they're pretty stiff and I haven't worn them out yet; but the feel okay.

I have fairly wide feet. I normally wear a 6.5 street shoe and a 7 in Keen water sandals. I ordered a 7 and it's a good fit. In full light the brown leather looks like the picture on this site. At other sites it looks like a dark brown. The sole is great. The strap is higher on the foot and hurt a little at times on the top of my foot up high. I believe that this will subside and appears to be better already. They are very nice thongs and I like having the black sole and blue stitching. They are also sold at shoemall for thirty-two, but limited sizes. They have black at nordstroms for eighty.

I love Keen shoes, so I thought I would try this style sandal. I don't wear thongs that much anymore, but thought these were so nice, I would see how they feel. They were great, out of the box, and comfortable. I wear them around the house, and out. I have walked a bit in them, and no problems. I will wear them more and more, and eventually try them for a long walk. So far so good.

They look clunkier in the catalog then in person. I like the thick rubber sole - adds comfort as well as a slight height. Leather is fairly soft and pliable.

So glad I got these! They went right on and were comfortable without any break in. The turquoise stitching is nice. I usually wear size 8 1/2, and get size 9 in a closed Keen, but I decided to try an 8 in these because I don't like sandals that look too long- 8 was perfect, and the width is generous. They look heavy in the picture, but they're not, they just feel sturdy and substantial.
