He's been saying that he wanted to try clips (like I ride) but hear horror stories from other fixed riders if skid stopping and clips coming undone. He loves these because he says he simple maxes torque on clips and his feet are secure. When I offer to drive him to work now he declines....even on wet days!

Answer Seems to be the same. They have a generous toe box but not as large as the most keens. That wouldn't be appropriate for cycling shoes. More toe room that any other cycling shoe I've owned or seen.

Answer If you wear a size 8 in a US women's size you would be wearing a men's size 6 US. Keen does not offer a men's size 6 the smallest they make in men's sizes is a US 7.
