“Great on the trails”

“I ordered these to replace an old pair of Merrel's that were too small. I had tried these Keen's on at a store and knew they would be a bit to long. They are, but better long than short, since the next size down was not available. I have inserts and placed one in the left shoe, which took care of the length problem (the right was ok). They are very stiff, especially at the top of the lacing area. I have to make certain the tongue is under the top eyelet or it will stab my foot. I have worn them every day, since receipt, at the park on muddy wet trails and they have been wonderful. One day I kept them on for the rest of the day, I was working at an event where I was on my feet the entire time, on concrete. My feet were killing me at the end of the day. So my 4 stars represent they are great on trails, but not on concrete or other solid surfaces.”
