Keen Targhee II Hiking Shoes - Waterproof (For Women)

I ordered these to replace an old pair of Merrel's that were too small. I had tried these Keen's on at a store and knew they would be a bit to long. They are, but better long than short, since the next size down was not available. I have inserts and placed one in the left shoe, which took care of the length problem (the right was ok). They are very stiff, especially at the top of the lacing area. I have to make certain the tongue is under the top eyelet or it will stab my foot. I have worn them every day, since receipt, at the park on muddy wet trails and they have been wonderful. One day I kept them on for the rest of the day, I was working at an event where I was on my feet the entire time, on concrete. My feet were killing me at the end of the day. So my 4 stars represent they are great on trails, but not on concrete or other solid surfaces.

I had tried these on before ordering at Sierra Trading Post and ordered accordingly. They are marked a size 7 1/2 and there is no way that they are. I have to send them back...So disappointed as I was looking forward to the great price on STP and wearing them hiking and in the snow![...]

Recommended by Backpacker Mag. Keen's rounded toes are comfortable for me. Nice tread, good color, and an exceptionsl deal from STP. Size does run a little small, so I'll wear them with thinner sox.

The best shoes I've ever owned. This is pair #4. They help with balance on uneven trails like no other shoe.

These sneakers are wonderful. Very comfy. I have tendonitis in both feet and these sneakers fit great. I usually wear a size 10, but I got a size 10 1/2 and they fit perfect for me.

I use this product hunting, walking the dog, and yard work. Took some time to get use to the toung. After break-in feels great.

I use these shoes to exercise walk around the block, run errands, hit some some trails when going to the river. I have several pair of Keen shoes-I've been searching for a comfortable lite pair for casual wear. I purchased the Ridgeline and they are working out okay but still can't find a pair as comfortable as the summer Newport and Venice. Had to send these back because too heavy for what I'm after for fall & winter. -Also the toe area too snug for me.

These shoes are very comfortable, true to size, and great for hiking around cactus!
