Keen Targhee II Hiking Shoes - Waterproof (For Women)

These shoes are fantastic. I love Keen shoes, they are very durable and hold up to my test of hiking and being outdoors with my dog. The only thing is they are a little big around the ankle.

Well made shoes with good arch support, cushioning and wide toe box. As with most Keens if in between sizes go up 1/2 size.

I've been wanting a pair of these shoes for a few years now and couldn't beat the price! I've been wearing Keen shoes for 7 years and own numerous pair. I wear a size 9 but noticed the last few pair of Keen shoes I ordered were too big. I decided to order 8.5 to see how that felt. I started reading other reviews after I purchased and saw a lot of comments to order a half size up because shoes ran small. I was worried that I made a mistake. The 8.5 fit perfect!! They're comfortable and exactly what I expected.

As a naturalist these shoes perform great out in the field. They stay dry and are relatively warm for late fall and early spring hikes. My first pair of these shoes did not need re-waterproofed for 2 1/2 years despite frequent abuse. Overall theis are a fabulous product and worth the full price, but getting them for 1/2 price is even better!!

I ordered these to replace an old pair of Merrel's that were too small. I had tried these Keen's on at a store and knew they would be a bit to long. They are, but better long than short, since the next size down was not available. I have inserts and placed one in the left shoe, which took care of the length problem (the right was ok). They are very stiff, especially at the top of the lacing area. I have to make certain the tongue is under the top eyelet or it will stab my foot. I have worn them every day, since receipt, at the park on muddy wet trails and they have been wonderful. One day I kept them on for the rest of the day, I was working at an event where I was on my feet the entire time, on concrete. My feet were killing me at the end of the day. So my 4 stars represent they are great on trails, but not on concrete or other solid surfaces.
