As it was the dry season, these trekking sandals were perfect for the rainforest treks, as it was still quite hot. While only a minor nuisance, having an open shoe of course leads to consistent sand issues. But would still opt for a sandal over a shoe (our guides were always in flip flops). Would have gone half a size bigger, due to should-have-expected foot swelling in warn weather.
