  • “Are these boots good for summer hiking?
Asked by Linda from Massachusetts on 2/25/2014 1:00:43 PM
    • Yep, They are extremely light and comfortable.

    • Yes, they are very lightweight; like an athletic shoe but better traction. I haven't tested the waterproof feature, yet except for small streams.

    • Yes, they are not heavy or make the feet feel hot. Two weeks ago, I wore these when our daytime temperature was around 25 degrees with SmartWool socks and my heavy were warm and toasty. You will not regret making this purchase. The ankle support is amazing. In November, I had a torn tendon in my ankle and these boots make my ankle free more supported than any shoe I own.

    • I bought mine a few weeks ago, so I can't say for sure, but they are comfortable, lightweight and my feet don't sweat in I would say they have good breathe ability.

    • I think so. I've only worn them for a few months and they get more comfortable as time goes by. I will try them for the summer but not sure how they will look with summer clothes. I like them because they are light as well as being supportive. Other hiking boots hurt my feet or are too heavy. I don't have to wear heavy socks with these either.

About Keen

Keen shoes have been helping feet find adventure since 2003, and it all began with the signature KEEN.PROTECT toe bumper. It might seem strange to build a footwear company around a feature, but that iconic toe bumper is more than just a style add-on. It’s what allows Keen sandals to hit the trails and provide the best toe protection possible. In fact, Keen was one of the first footwear companies to make closed-toed hiking sandals. Over the years, the product selection has continued to grow and now includes Keen hiking boots, trail shoes, cycling shoes, socks, clothing and bags. The brand is also actively involved in land and water conservation projects in the US, Canada, Europe and Japan.
